SURPRISE!

25.3.16

So, I've been keeping a little big secret for a while now! I was waiting until my first doctors appointment to finally share what I thought was exciting enough just thinking it was one little happy, healthy babe… well to my surprise we have even bigger news! Not only do I get to announce that I'm expecting this October, but we are getting not one, but TWO little bundles of joy!

That's right friends, TWINS!

I am still letting the words sink in to be honest. It has been one of the most interesting weeks of my life. Soooo many emotions; excitement, anxiety, gratitude, straight fear, a little nauseousness in-between it all (not because of the news, just good ol' pregnancy ;), more anxiety and then more excitement! A big part of me doesn't know if I'm truly up for this journey, if I'm the right person to take on the amount of responsibility that comes with these two little lives coming to our family. I feel inadequate and think so many other moms are already doing a better job than I am, and I only have one little kiddo! But then, in the same thought, I can't even begin to imagine the amount of blessings and happiness will come with TWO incredible little humans! I think of how much my Heavenly Father must trust me with this amazing feat, and how much our family must need these two sweet little spirits and how much they will teach us!
Oh, the things they will teach me! I can only begin to imagine!
So each time I think about buying one more crib, one more carseat, and well, one of pretty much everything else, I immediately think of how blessed we are, how I GET to have my own children, that we aren't a heartbroken couple that has been trying to conceive for years without any luck. Because I know a few of those couples, I will go ahead and continue to remember how blessed I am, even in those wee hours of the morning with two screaming babies! I know more moms have handled and done far greater things and I know God wouldn't give me any more than I could actually handle…right?! :)

With that all said, I have been so excited to get it all out in the open, especially because I started showing so early this time and couldn't for the life of me understand why I was getting so big so quickly! I will finally be able to post photos of this crazy growing belly and keep you all updated with this crazy journey we are about to embark on!
Thank you all for being such amazing supporters, for writing such sweet comments, and for allowing me to do something I love so much! I probably don't say it enough, but I am truly grateful for my blog, followers, friends and incredible family!
Love you all!!
XOXO
This one wasn't the greatest of us, but Olivia's face was too cute not to share! <3

  6. Wow, congratulations!!! I am sure it is a shock but truly God is all-knowing and all-powerful, would he really give you two if he didn't think you were THE RIGHT ONE for the job? No! You are going to be amazing and those little ones will be so lucky to be welcomed into your beautiful family!

For what it's worth, two of my friends from college got married last summer and found out they were expecting twins due 9 months after their honeymoon haha!!! She started a blog towards the end of her pregnancy because she said she was searching all the time and never found a blog that was really a resource for twins. Here is the link if you want to check it out: http://keithingupwiththetwins.blogspot.com/ She posts once a week and gives updates on their development and sleep schedule and what has worked/not worked with two. Maybe you'll find it helpful!
