finally....

12.12.12

it may have taken me a month or so but i finally got a few pictures up of the new abode!
they're not the greatest, and were obviously taken before our tree and everything was up, but they give you at least an idea of the basic areas.
the kitchen has become one of my new favorite places- it wasn't quite as fun to cook in my last kitchen, but luckily for the hubs and myself (and our tummies), now that i enjoy being in my kitchen, i actually use it!
as you can see, there is still a lot to do. we moved everything over from our last house and it doesn't quite fit the same, but over time we are planning to make it home and i have a feeling it will be fun and challenging to fill in the gaps here and there.
i wasn't able to get a very good picture of our bedroom, and since it is a little empty now i figured it wasn't much to see, but the tub -oh the tub- i figured was worth sharing.
and yes, if you're wondering that IS mr. bubbles in the corner.
as for the last shot- i just liked it. it's in one of the guest bedrooms and is hubs' electric guitar and my electric violin. along with all of the old record albums that i dug up from my pops' "goodies from his past". they are lined all along the shelving and include my favorite bands from his time. 4 original beatles albums, credence clearwater revival, the kinks, fleetwood mac, the rolling stones, and the beach boys to name a few!

sorry it isn't much to look at at the moment. eventually i will post more and update as we make this house our home.

    1. Haha! Seriously- and you'll die when I say this but I still haven't even taken a bath in that tub! I know it's ridiculous but it seems like it would take a day to fill up!

  5. Gorgeous, so jealous!
I am moving from my small 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house in the middle of January and I cannot wait, not for the bedrooms but for my new kitchen and deck! My husband and I can't wait to have more space and to have some freedom to decorate our place and make it feel like our home instead of just an apartment.
Good luck with the new place!

From 500 sq ft apartments, to housesitting a beautiful home, to basements to our first home and now here! It's been wild but we are so happy to finally be settled! Good luck with your move!

    1. I should definitely post a picture of the outside- it's actually pretty funny because it's an orange-ish /yellow-ish color, so everyone knows which one to look for when we describe it! Haha!

  15. one word: ZEN.
is it weird that I feel like your house is so zen-like?
It reminds me of my home in Japan.

And your fridge.... HELLO!? It's massive!
