sorry i'm late.

5.6.13

halfway through the week already! hope you're all having a great one :)
this week has already been a crazy one, filled with graduation stuff for my little sister-in-law and finishing up our basement and getting all the little fixes done. who knew hubs knew how to install dishwashers and ranges?! i've found he is quite the handyman and think i'll keep him around for a while.
in other news, this is another comfy pregnancy outfit that i can't get enough of! although the shirt rings all too true to my life from time to time (oh, and big sister, i think i may be getting you one of these too) i'm hoping it isn't baby girl's statement for the closer i get to delivery! it's far enough away that i won't worry too much, but i definitely thought this tee was a good fit! i also have to say that i have never been a dress or skirt wearer until this last year or so since maxi's and comfy skirts made an entrance- but now i could wear these skirts daily! the fabric is so light and absolutely perfect for summer! inspired by tess has so many cute fabrics and prints i ended up getting a few to wear throughout the summer and hopefully (eventually) be able to sport my belly!
tee: c/o the market, skirt: c/o inspired by tess, shoes: c/o windsor, fedora: c/o windsor, fringe bag: c/o windsor
sunnies: c/o windsor, necklaces: jmr & lolabella boutique (similar, similar)

  1. Such a cute look! I always love hats and wish that I'd pull them off better. ;) Wearing one today on the ole blog myself. Doesn't frequent it often. lol

PS - my hubs is a handyman too. DEF has its advantages. It only has disadvantages when a project is going to take really long, say oh 5 months when you could contract and have it done in a week. BUT the stubbornness of I can do it myself wins and takes 5 months. Hence our major bathroom / closet reno which we finally finished.

  4. Two things:

    - What an adorable shirt! I really try to be punctual, but no matter how early I wake up I always feel like I'm behind schedule.

    - Being handy is wonderful! Brandon and I are both pretty handy, but as Amanda said: It has disadvantages when the project is going to take forever when a professional could do it in what seems like five minutes. With our work/class schedules, it seems like the tiniest project (say, installing a new sink/counter in the bathroom) takes a month and a half to get done, when it would take a professional all of three hours to do it.

However, since we have done the work ourselves, we know how to fix it when things go wrong — a major, major advantage.

    1. Definitely! I've found that there are definite pros and cons to "doing it yourself", haha!

    1. This one is actually a Large believe it or not! I wanted to make sure it would fit through pregnancy and I'm glad I got it a little bigger than I normally do because it fits comfortably but isn't huge! :)
