ombre lips tutorial

alright...please don't judge. 

as i say in the video- i swore i would never do a video tutorial because i feel ridiculous and get nervous (as you will notice soon enough). however, for something like a makeup tutorial, it's hard to do only pictures without explanation! so here it is. in all its glory. (HA!)

i get questions all the time on makeup tips and what i use. this one i'm showing here is the same lips i did for my post here a few days ago. i usually do it with light and dark red colors but decided to be a bit rebel-ish and go with the deep purple colors. some may like, some may not. either way, the concept is the same for all colors! 

p.s. i sound a bit silly and i don't know what i'm talking about a few times in the video (nerves). example when i'm talking about the liner and why i line first, it's obviously because you don't want your lipstick to bleed- not to give it a "pretty look" or whatever it is that i say. disregard the nerves and enjoy!

in better lighting- this is how the ombre lips look using the magenta liner, cyber and satin rebel. 

these colors below are for ombre'ing with reds (as seen in this post here). i use the liner on the outside like normal but darken it even more than usual and then just use the red lipstick to fill in. i basically just skip one step but it always looks great!
