Puerto Peñasco, Mexico

8.7.16

I am finally getting a chance to post a few pictures from our trip to Scottsdale and Rocky Point Mexico! It was only a couple of days after we got home that our lives were turned a little upside down with all the chaos of the past few months, so it was a little bit of a blessing that we were able to get one last trip in to relax and enjoy a little "us" time before I was bed ridden and down for the months to come!
We kicked off the trip by flying to Phoenix and stayed at our SIL's parents gorgeous home in Scottsdale complete with a basketball court, a putting green, and an incredible pool. We could have stayed there all week but after enjoying a night there we met up with some friends and headed to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico the next day! It was truly such a relaxing trip, we barely left the resort during the day where we lounged around, played a little beach volleyball, ate our weight in chips and guac by the pool and just enjoyed doing nothing! The boys rented razor's for a day and played at the sand dunes while us girls hit the spa for a few hours. Between the fantastic authentic Mexican food and the beach, we were in our own little slice of paradise!
As much as we loved it, we always love coming home to Olivia and can't wait to get back to her!
It may be a little late on finally getting these photos up but I had to share!
XOXO
There was the cutest orange trees outside where we stayed in AZ. I was 15 weeks preggo at this point and was it total coincidence that the twins were the size of oranges at 15 weeks?! I think not!
On the drive across the border there were cactus as far as the eye could see for a good hundred miles. We found out that it's an actual National Park of cacti! There were some pretty incredible looking cacti and the place we stopped to grab a picture didn't really do them justice, but we had to at least stop!
I basically turn into a child when I'm on vacation and had bubblegum ice cream once a day without fail!
It's crazy to think that I thought I was huge at this point! Oh, if I had any idea what I was in for!
