just play that old time rock n' roll...

something my wonderful parents blessed me with was a love for music
besides allowing me to take lessons for violin, singing, and piano, which grew me accustomed to classical, broadway and various types of music, they also had some pretty awesome taste in music and made sure i had a record/8 track player in my room before i was in kindergarten!
because we lived in a small town, it was a 2 hour drive to "the city" every time we came to salt lake and the whole trip consisted of saweet tunes from the 60's (their era) mixed in with a little country and every once in a great while some "current hits" (which was the 90's at the time and n'sync, britney and bsb were the top hits at the time- i'm sure you can imagine why my dad was NOT usually game)
to say the least, i grew up on the oldies, but goodies and i wouldn't have it any other way!
i sometimes thought it was a bummer that i had older parents that weren't as "hip" as some of my friends parents, but over the years i realize how lucky i was and am to have
thee coolest parents around! it's one of those things i hope to pass on to my children-
a love for the classics!

  3. Yes! I am a firm believer that there is no better car music than the artists of the 60s/70s. I was literally just car dancing through my commute home to Fleetwood Mac and I have no regrets! :)
