leopard and leather

5.7.13

yay for friday and i hope you all had a fabulous 4th of july! we had the perfect day off filled with an early morning yoga session (for me, not so much for the hubs), some amazing kneader's french toast with that to-die-for caramel syrup, a great day of boating and some killer fireworks to top it all off! definitely can't complain about all that goodness packed into one day! only sad that hubs is back to work tomorrow and there can't be one of those days weekly- i guess that's what makes them so special, right?!
as for today, this is one of those outfits that i love, but realize that practicality at times gets thrown out the window for the right look. i honestly can't say wearing a faux leather jacket in july is the smartest of ideas (i guess it was technically june when i did, but still!) ...and even though it was a cooler night, i won't justify it because i was still plenty warm! the look, however, is exactly what i wanted and decided it was worth being only slightly uncomfortable for a couple short hours to rock it! it is an outfit i'll definitely be recreating around september though, you can plan on that!
i also have to mention these kind of amazing shoes from yellow plum- i have had them for maybe two weeks now and have already paired them with numerous outfits! from dresses to boyfriend jeans, i have fallen in love with these and a few other pairs from their site! some of my favorite brands and some seriously gorgeous shoes (and let's be honest, we all know you can never have enough shoes!) -so definitely check out their online store! yellow plum is also offering all cleverly yours readers a 20% discount on your order for a limited time- just use the code: clever20 at checkout! i just had to share the wealth! :)
happy friday!! xoxo...
