falling for fall...

husband and i went on a walk the other night through liberty park-

of course before dark!

but it was SO pretty i couldn't believe it!

it's november and some of the most beautiful weather i've seen around this time. ever.

although i seem to always be longing for a beach or somewhere warm and tropical 

i realize more and more every day how much i truly love utah weather.

we get to experience all the seasons, and our falls, oh our falls... can be amaaaaazing!

although i love a beach and would love nothing more to live near an ocean 

i am so grateful to live in a state that (despite long, cold winters) is pretty darn awesome.

of course, all this thinking about being grateful gets me thinking of how truly blessed and grateful i am for all the blessings in my life. 

an absolutely wonderful husband, the most amazing family anyone could ask for, a beautiful roof over my head, clothes on my back (and a few extra in my closet!), my freedom and 

many abilities by living in this great country, wonderful friends, 

and of course, one of the biggest blessings in my life, the gospel.

i don't like to get too mushy but it's definitely good for me to take a step back and 

put life in perspective from time to time.

one of my favorite quotes says, "the best things in life aren't things" - art buchwald

and i can definitely use that reminder every now and then.
